About the roleWe are seeking an experienced Head of Finance and Reporting to join our Senior Management Team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is responsible for the operational financial management of Catholic Homes Incorporated.This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial records and reporting, while maintaining strong and effective financial controls across the organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the organisation’s financial accounting and reporting functions, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial records, statements, and statutory reporting.Maintain strong financial control frameworks, balance sheet integrity, and compliance with accounting standards, taxation, and regulatory obligations.Partner with the CFO and operational leaders to manage cash flow and investments, support audits, and monitor financial performance against agreed targets.Provide leadership and oversight of transactional finance functions (AP, AR, payroll, and cash management), ensuring accurate, timely processing and effective working capital management.Maintain strong internal controls, segregation of duties, and documented finance policies and procedures to support sound financial governance.Lead continuous improvement of finance systems, processes, and controls, including system upgrades and automation, to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capability.Ensure compliance with financial policies, delegations, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements, while proactively minimising financial and operational risk.Maintain strong internal control and risk management practices across finance operations, including regular review and enhancement of financial policies and procedures.Provide high-quality financial insights and compliance reporting to support informed decision‑making by senior leadership and the Board, while remaining current with relevant accounting, taxation, and funding legislation.Lead and manage the Finance function, including staff, budgets, contracts, projects, and resources, while fostering a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement.Develop and maintain a high‑performing finance team through effective leadership, capability building, workload management, and ongoing professional development.Act as a key finance liaison across the organisation and with external stakeholders, including regulators and system vendors, providing clear communication and regular reporting to the CFO and Executive Team on financial performance, initiatives, and system outcomes.To be considered for this position you will demonstrate:Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with a recognised professional accounting qualification (CA or CPA), and strong technical expertise in accounting standards, financial controls, and statutory reporting.Significant experience in senior financial accounting and reporting roles, including oversight of finance operations such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
