Your responsibilities will include performing simulations and modelling of agrivoltaic systems integrated with landscapes, as well as contributing to the fulfilment of project objectives and deliverables. You are expected to actively participate in project meetings and collaborate with other project members. The role also includes supporting other ongoing agrivoltaic research projects at MDU, particularly in the planning and execution of field experiments planned for summer 2026. Additional duties include contributing to report writing and scientific publications. Teaching duties may be included within the scope of the position, according to the needs of the department. Qualification requirements We are looking for candidates who hold a PhD in Energy and Environmental Engineering, with a specialization in spectrally selective solar cells. You must have: documented experience in agrivoltaic research, strong competence in modelling light distribution in agrivoltaic systems, experience in planning and conducting field research in agrivoltaic systems, excellent proficiency in English, both written and spoken, experience in simulation and modelling with Matlab and Python, experience in academic writing, strong presentation skills and good collaborative abilities. Merit It is considered an advantage if you have experience working with 3D modelling tools for light distribution analysis, such as SketchUp and DL-Light. Personal abilities Personal suitability will be given significant weight in the overall assessment of candidates. For this position, you are required to demonstrate the ability to work independently, strong collaborative skills, and a professional and service-oriented approach. You should also be able to take responsibility for your tasks and contribute to the development of the organisation. Furthermore, you are expected to have the ability and willingness to work in an interdisciplinary context and in collaboration with external partners.
