Job Description

Communications Coordinator

At EKFB we’re shaping Infrastructure for a better tomorrow. All four of our partners (Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial and BAM) bring specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects.

We’re recruiting for a Communications Coordinator to join our Communications Team in our Milton Keynes office.

The Communications Coordinator plays an important supporting role within the Communications team, helping ensure the smooth and effective delivery of day‑to‑day communication activities across the project. The position assists with drafting simple content for internal and external use, including website updates, social media posts and basic project notices, while maintaining accuracy, clarity and consistency of messaging.

The role supports the management of digital channels by uploading, tagging and maintaining content under the guidance of senior colleagues, and contributes to internal workflows through scheduling, forward‑planning activity and supporting meeting coordination.

The Communications Coordinator maintains core resources such as content libraries, image folders and distribution lists, and prepares basic reports or summaries for the Senior Communications Coordinator.

A key part of the role is supporting engagement activities, including event logistics, gathering content assets and assisting with small‑scale campaign delivery. The position contributes to media and social listening monitoring, tracks engagement metrics, and produces simple dashboards to support insight and reporting. Working closely with the Senior Communications Coordinator, the Communications Coordinator helps ensure alignment across tasks and takes ownership of defined administrative responsibilities to support the overall functioning of the team.
