We are looking to add one new Partner and two new Associates.Virtual FirmWe are a virtual firm that specialises in acting on commercial mortgage advances throughout Australia. With a premium reputation forged over 25 years, we are known for our expertise in our field.Although we have a small physical office in North Sydney we are in essence a virtual firm. We achieve this by using Actionstep, Google, DocuSign & PEXA  and other cloud-based applications.This is a work from home position. We have built our firm to allow for maximum flexibility, the least amount of stress and the highest possible paycheck.BaseWe pay you a weekly base salary and a fee share which is based on a generous percentage of your earnings. The fee share is calculated and paid weekly. Your base salary will be $120k plus super. Annual Gross - PartnersYour annual gross earnings will be between $200-$300k+ (plus super) depending upon how much work you choose to take on. We will strive to help you reach your fee earning goals.It will take you 6 months to ramp up to this. Plus Fee share - AssociatesYour annual gross earnings will be between $150-$200k+ (plus super) depending upon how much work you choose to take on. We will strive to help you reach your fee earning goals.It will take you 6 months to ramp up to this. Quality of LifeWorking from home and doing mortgage advance work allows you to run errands, do school drop-offs and do housework as you work. Armed with a Bluetooth headset you can run loads of washing, making dinner etc while talking to clients. This in turn frees up more time after work. You save 2 hours a day on the commute, your multitasking saves you another hour or two. This gives you an additional 3 hours a day for your family!Organised and systemised We have an extremely detailed mortgage advances procedures manual which we will share with you before you commit to joining us.We will also give you an electronic tour of our system before you start so you can see how heavily we leverage technology to make your work life unstressed and less tedious (and how intuitive it is). TeamsEvery team consists of:One Partner Two Associates (new Partners 1 Associate, Partners can take up to three)One paralegal per Associate.Fee sharePartners do not need to fill out a timesheet, Associates and Paralegals do. Associates receive a portion of the fees recovered (in the case of members of Advance teams) or billed less write offs (in the case of Enforcement Teams) that are attributable to their own time entry, or a Paralegal whom they instructed, as their gross fee share, at a rate of between 22-26% (depending on experience). Partners receive two components to their fee share: “Associate Training component" and “Team Performance component”The Associate training component is the difference between the amount paid to the Associate and 34% of the fees attributable to the Associate. The Team Performance component is calculated as: 34% of Associates earnings; PLUS 30% of the balance of the teams earnings; MINUS what the Associate was paid. IncentivesThis structure incentivises:Associates to delegate to Paralegals Partners to delegate to Associates. By having these incentives the Partner strives to train the Associate so the Partner can work less and less and eventually (with a full team of three fully trained Associates) have a light workload between 10-4pm.The Associate is given more and more responsibility increasing their earning power and eventually qualifying them to become a Partner themselves. SupportOur Partners and Associates closely collaborate with each other and assist in answering any questions using WhatsApp Groups, email and conference calls. The Head Partner, Matthew Bransgrove, is on standby to review scenarios and take full responsibility for any decisions, letters or pleadings upon request. AdministrationOur paralegals and AI do the administrative work (file opening, searches, calling to chase documents etc). We have a dedicated bookkeeper who does billing and trust accounts. We have another bookkeeper who handles all disbursements and receipts. We have Australian paralegals who assist with compliance and administration. Matthew Bransgrove oversees all administration. Legal ResponsibilityPartners will have unrestricted practising certificates and conduct of their matters and be styled Partner of the firm however it is not a partnership we are an ILP and Matthew Bransgrove is the sole director.
