This includes providing services and resources to protect children and youth from abuse and neglect and effectively address harm that has placed them in need of intervention. The Ministry is seeking a CI Data and Advancement Analyst to transform program data into insights that support evidence-based decision making and service quality improvement.Reporting to the Manager, CI Program Analysis and Performance, you will conduct advanced research and analysis, develop service quality indicators, and produce targeted reports that inform program strategy. You may also work with program policy teams, regional service delivery partners, Delegated First Nations Agencies, Information Management, and Human Resources to identify and report on trends and recommend improvements that strengthen service delivery.As a key resource within the Branch and across the Ministry, you will also support cross-divisional initiatives, contribute to committees, and help ensure data and research inform continuous improvement efforts.Key responsibilities include:
Develop and deliver data reports, dashboards, and visualizations: Design, build, and maintain automated reports and dashboards using tools such as Excel, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and Power BI to support ministry reporting initiatives. Conduct advanced data analysis and research: Analyze program data and external sources to identify trends, evaluate service quality indicators, and generate insights that support evidence-based decision making, program improvement, and strategic planning. Manage data extraction, integration, and quality assurance: Extract, clean, validate, and integrate data from multiple internal and external sources while ensuring accuracy, reliability, and timely refreshes of reporting products. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support program performance: Collaborate with program areas, Information Management, IT, regional teams, and other ministry partners to clarify reporting requirements, enhance data systems, and develop performance measures and indicators. Provide data-driven advice and issue management support: Proactively identify risks, reporting challenges, and emerging issues related to data quality, reporting timelines, and program performance, and provide recommendations to management. Support knowledge sharing and effective communication of insights: Present complex technical information in clear, user-friendly formats, maintain documentation and data resources (e.g., data dictionaries, methodologies), and manage reporting platforms such as SharePoint to support information access and transparency.

Excellent written, verbal, and facilitation skills are essential for this role, along with the ability to effectively organize and manage multiple tasks, adapt to shifting priorities, and carry tasks to completion.This role requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team to deliver projects within tight timelines.Please click on this link to view the job description for this position.Qualifications University graduation in a related field (i.e. Science, Information Science, Social Science, Business Administration or Public Administration/Management, Mathematical and Statistical Sciences) along with 2 years progressively responsible related experience in conducting analysis, data reporting and applied research (quantitative and qualitative) is required; or equivalent as described below.Preference may be given to candidates with experience using SQL to extract, manipulate, validate and analyze data from relational databases.A master's degree in a related field is preferred.Equivalencies:Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:
1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.
Assets:
Proficiency with SQL and Report Builder, and experience using Power BI to pull data, perform data analysis, and build interactive reports. Strong knowledge of research methodologies, statistics, and data analysis techniques. Experience using data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., SSRS, Power BI, SAS VA) to translate complex data into clear insights. Proven ability to clearly communicate technical or sensitive information and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Understanding of Government processes and Child Intervention programs, including awareness of issues impacting Indigenous Peoples and communities.
