Project Manager / Project Engineer | Marine Engineering | Up to £65,000 | Yateley (Hybrid Working 2-3 days per week on-site) MERITUS are working with a highly specialised engineering organisation delivering bespoke, low-volume, high-value systems into defence, offshore and advanced technology environments.

They're looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to join, requiring strong engineering awareness, hands-on delivery ownership, and the ability to operate confidently with both customers and multidisciplinary technical teams.

Main Responsibilities:

- Lead the end-to-end delivery of bespoke engineering projects, ensuring alignment to technical, commercial, and customer requirements - Act as the primary customer interface, managing expectations, communication, and long-term stakeholder relationships - Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures (WBS) across complex engineering programmes - Collaborate closely with Systems Engineers and technical teams to define, validate, and deliver system-level solutions - Monitor project performance including budget, cost-to-complete (CTC), risks, and delivery milestones - Support bid and proposal activity, contributing to project scoping, costing, and technical solution definition Required Skills & Experience: Proven experience delivering projects within high-value engineering or advanced manufacturing environments (defence, aerospace, electronics, or similar) Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management capability, with experience managing complex external relationships Demonstrated ability to operate in a project engineer / technical PM capacity, working closely with engineering teams Experience managing low-volume, bespoke or custom-built systems rather than high-volume production Solid understanding of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management within engineering programmes Ability to lead within a matrix environment, influencing technical teams without direct authority
