Job Description
EcoPhi AB is building the next generation of software-defined substations—combining high-performance merging units and edge platforms with virtualized monitoring, protection, and power-quality applications. We work with utilities, OEMs, and system integrators to modernize substation automation and accelerate grid digitalization. We’re now looking for a Junior Business Developer with an electrical power engineering background and familiarity with substations and power systems, who wants to grow into a commercial role in deep-tech energy infrastructure. What you’ll do Support business development activities across utilities, OEMs, EPCs, and system integrators Build and qualify a pipeline: lead research, outreach, follow-ups, meeting preparation Help prepare proposals, quotations, and RFP/RFQ responses (technical + commercial) Coordinate product demos and customer workshops (with our engineering team) Maintain CRM updates and create short customer summaries, meeting notes, and action plans Track markets, competitors, and customer needs in digital substations and grid automation Attend events, customer meetings, and site visits (some travel expected)
What we’re looking for (must-have) BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems preferred) or similar background Familiar with substation basics (primary equipment + protection/automation concepts) Comfortable discussing technical topics with engineers and translating them into customer value Strong communication skills in English (Swedish is a plus) Structured working style: can manage tasks, follow-ups, and documentation Interest in commercial work: customer conversations, outreach, and relationship building
Nice-to-have (great if you have it) Knowledge of IEC 61850 (GOOSE/MMS/Sampled Values) or digital substation architecture Understanding of protection, PQ monitoring, PMU/DFR concepts, or substation communications Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.) or technical sales/support roles Internship/Thesis/project experience with utilities, OEMs, or grid-related companies
