About the Assignment You will shape the software architecture for embedded systems in the automotive domain, with a focus on Base Software (BSW) and the technical foundations that make complex vehicle software scalable, reliable, and maintainable. The assignment is set in a cross-functional environment where architecture needs to support system requirements, integration across components, and compliance with demanding industry standards. You will work closely with development teams and stakeholders to define frameworks, interfaces, and integration strategies, while helping solve technical challenges across the software lifecycle. Job DescriptionYou will define and design software architectures that align with system requirements and project goals. You will create and maintain architecture documentation, including diagrams, interface definitions, and design guidelines. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software components smoothly into the overall system architecture. You will develop and promote software design patterns, frameworks, and architectural best practices. You will lead architectural reviews and support development teams in implementing solutions based on architectural specifications. You will identify technical risks, dependencies, and constraints early, and help drive practical solutions. You will support system integration and validation activities to ensure the implemented solution follows the intended architecture. You will evaluate tools, frameworks, and third-party libraries from an architectural perspective. You will contribute to technical decision-making around technology choices, standards, and ways of working. You will share your knowledge with other engineers through guidance, reviews, and technical discussions. RequirementsExperience designing software architectures in automotive embedded environments. Strong ability to define software frameworks, design patterns, interfaces, and architectural guidelines. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to align software architecture with system requirements and constraints. Experience with architectural reviews, technical risk assessment, and software integration strategies. Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO 26262 and ASPICE. Ability to document architecture clearly, including diagrams and interface definitions. Ability to work independently, handle technical questions as they arise, and drive solutions forward. Ability to guide other engineers and support smaller technical initiatives when needed.
