Junior Estimator / Estimator – Commercial LandscapingOur company, which has been operating across SEQ and Northern NSW for more than 20 years, has a vacancy for a motivated and proactive Estimator or Junior Estimator to join our growing team.You will be part of our dynamic pre-construction team that prepares quotes based on softscapes, maintenance, fencing, retaining walls, pavers, concrete works for our builders, civil, commercial and developers clients which includes Architects and Qld Government.ABOUT YOU- Australian Citizen or Applicants may have full and unrestricted working right in Australia;- 0-3 years of experience in construction, estimating or a related field;- Minimum of 1 year's experience in construction, estimating or a related field is required;- Experience in either landscaping or commercial construction is acceptable;- Must have strong numerical and analytical skills incl using laptop, computer, printers as such.- Knowledge and exposure in using Estimating Software (CostX, Benchmark, Bluebeam, Outlook, Teams, and Microsoft pack);- Proficiency in multiple estimating software packages is required;- Must Have High attention to detail, time management and organizational skills- Positive attitude, strong work ethic and communication are the keys for team-work-efforts;- Genuine interest in construction, even passion for the industry is highly preferred;- Willingness to learn and develop estimating skills is very important to us as it is part of growth.ABOUT THE JOB:- Preparing tenders, quotes, submissions incl non-price criteria;- Take-off, on-site measurements, general measurements, BOQ and Quantities Summary- Preparing detailed cost estimates, described and itemised break down (work items, costs, direct costs, markups);- Analyse project specifications, drawings, RFQs, lead time, exact demand and request from the client;- RFIs, customer service and courteous communication with clients when required (via email, phone calls or site visits);- Collaborate with our Project Managers, Pre-Construction Managers, Finance Managers, and Project Admins where required;- Direct and respectful contact with suppliers and subcontractors- Strong time management, stress/pressure management, accuracy, problem-solving skills and go-get-it- mindsetWHAT WE OFFER:- Flexibility in working from home/office (if applicable);- Competitive Salary (based on your experience);- Great company culture; regular lunches are organised; good people and high-performing team;- Internal training (estimating, technical aspect) and direct support from Managers;- Development and Growth from Junior Estimator, Estimator, Senior Estimator, Pre-Construction Manager opportunities in the future;- Excitement and Diversity in project types as we do not price one type of projects in day-to-day basics (Projects from $80k to $10M).
