About the roleWe are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team at Macallan college in Brisbane. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support and problem-solving assistance to our staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure. This is a full-time position based in our Brisbane office.What you'll be doingProvide first-line IT support to users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, answering inquiries, and guiding employees through technical problemsDiagnose and resolve a variety of IT-related problems, from network connectivity issues to software malfunctionsMaintain and update IT systems, including installing and configuring new hardware and softwareImplement and monitor security measures to protect company data and systemsProvide training and guidance to employees on the use of IT systems and applicationsCollaborate with the broader IT team to improve and enhance the company's technology infrastructureMaintain thorough documentation of all IT-related incidents and resolutionsWhat we're looking forMinimum 2 years of experience in an IT support or helpdesk role, preferably in a similar industryStrong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issuesExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively assist users and document processesHands-on experience with a variety of hardware, software, and network technologiesFamiliarity with common IT support tools and ticketing systemsA positive, customer-focused attitude and the ability to work well in a team environmentRelevant technical certifications, such as CompTIA A+ or ITIL, would be highly advantageousWhat we offerAt Macallan College, we are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment for our employees.
